1 What Thailand Ready provides

Thailand Ready provides general insurance information and decision guidance. Our content may discuss:

• what different kinds of cover do
• local and international cover
• access to hospitals
• the trade-offs between policies
• what to consider when comparing insurers and providers

Our general content looks at the market and at planning considerations broadly. It is not a recommendation of a particular policy, insurer, sum insured or premium level for you. Our reports show research-based ranges of hospital costs and premiums by age for three levels of cover, side by side. They do not choose a level for you, and they are not quotes.

2 What Thailand Ready is not

Revenue Studio Company Limited, which operates Thailand Ready, is not an insurer or an underwriter, and is not licensed as an insurance agent or broker. It does not sell, recommend or arrange insurance, and it does not issue policies.

3 If you ask about buying insurance

Thailand Ready does not help you buy insurance. Only if you ask, and with your permission, we can put you in touch with Ravipas Chaloenchansa, a director of Revenue Studio Company Limited, who is separately a licensed life insurance agent with AIA Thailand. He then acts as an AIA agent, outside any Thailand Ready product or service.

He will tell you that he is an AIA agent, with his licence details, before discussing any AIA product with you. Noppakun Sasipibool, who contributes insurance experience to our content, is also a licensed life insurance agent in her personal capacity. She receives no clients or referrals from Thailand Ready.

You are free to choose another insurer or provider at any time.

4 International and visa-related insurance

Thailand Ready does not refer you to international insurers or affiliate partners, and is not paid by any insurer or provider. If you consider cover from an insurer that is not licensed in Thailand, note that you cannot take a complaint about it to Thailand’s insurance regulator, the OIC.

Visa rules on insurance differ by visa and change over time. Check the current requirement with the embassy or immigration office before you buy.

Whatever cover you choose, Thailand Ready does not:

• issue the insurance
• underwrite the policy
• decide whether you are eligible
• control claims
• guarantee that you will be accepted
• guarantee that a claim will be paid

The provider’s policy wording always governs.

5 What the insurer decides

• The insurer’s terms and policy documents are what apply.
• Underwriting and eligibility are decided by the provider.
• Premiums, terms and availability can change.
• General content on this website is not a guarantee of cover.

6 Introductions and your information

Sending an enquiry does not mean your details are passed to an insurer, an agent or Ravipas. If you ask to be put in touch with Ravipas about insurance, we ask your permission at that point and pass on only your name and email address.

We never pass on health information, report answers or assessment answers for an insurance introduction.

7 Changes to this disclosure

We may update this disclosure. The dates at the top of the page show when it took effect and when it last changed.
